What this recall means for you
Certain 2018 Gulf Stream recreational trailers have a Federal certification label that states an incorrect number of axles. The label lists two axles, but these trailers have only one. The gross axle weight rating, tire, rim size and recommended tire pressure information on the label are correct.
The defect is a labeling error rather than a mechanical failure, but the label does not comply with federal certification requirements under 49 CFR Part 567. An inaccurate label can lead to confusion about the trailer's load and tire information, which may affect how the trailer is loaded and maintained.
Gulf Stream Coach will notify owners and dealers and will send a corrected label free of charge. Owners can contact Gulf Stream customer service at 1-800-289-8787, referencing recall number 20171125. You can also check your vehicle identification number for open recalls.
