Entegra Anthem Recall 17V752: Fire extinguisher may fail to discharge or spray nozzle may detach

NHTSA campaign 17V752, reported November 22, 2017, 46 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain fire extinguishers installed in these recreational vehicles may become clogged, so they do not discharge as expected, or may require excessive force to activate. In some models the nozzle can also detach from the valve assembly with enough force to cause injury, and the extinguisher would then be inoperable.

If a fire starts and the extinguisher does not work properly, the risk of injury increases. Entegra Coach will notify owners of the recall. Owners should contact Kidde to get a replacement fire extinguisher at no cost. The recall began January 15, 2018. Contact Entegra customer service at 1-800-945-4787, Kidde customer service at 1-855-262-3540, or visit www.kidde.com and select "Product Safety Recall." You can also check your VIN for any open recalls.
