Nissan Rogue Recall 17V716: Passenger Seat Frame May Be Poorly Welded, Raising Crash Injury Risk

NHTSA campaign 17V716, reported November 14, 2017, 210 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The front passenger seat frame in certain vehicles may have been improperly welded. Because of this, the seats do not fully meet federal safety standards for head restraints and seating systems. If the vehicle is involved in a crash, the weak seat back frame could increase the risk of injury to the front passenger.

Dealers will replace the front passenger seat back assembly at no cost to the owner. Owners will be notified by Nissan. You can also contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.

You can check whether your vehicle is affected by entering your VIN at NHTSA's recall lookup site or on the NHTSA website. If your vehicle has an open recall, schedule the free repair with an authorized Nissan dealer.
