Pleasant Valley Mypod Travel Trailer Recall 17V710: Fire Extinguisher May Clog or Detach, Failing in a Fire

NHTSA campaign 17V710, reported November 13, 2017, 2,590 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2017-2018 Pleasant Valley travel trailers and truck campers are equipped with Kidde model 210D plastic-handle fire extinguishers that may become clogged. In addition, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force to cause injury and render the extinguisher inoperable.

If a fire occurs and the extinguisher does not work properly, the risk of injury increases. Owners should take this recall seriously and act promptly.

Pleasant Valley will notify owners and direct them to contact Kidde directly to receive a replacement fire extinguisher free of charge. Owners can call Pleasant Valley customer service at 1-330-852-4811 or Walter Kidde customer service at 1-855-262-3540.
