What this recall means for you
The frame on certain trailers may deform where the straight and angled side sections meet. If this happens, the trailer neck, the front part that connects to the towing vehicle, could separate from the rear of the trailer.
A separated trailer neck raises the risk of a crash. Owners should take this recall seriously and check their trailer as soon as possible.
The repair is free. Dealers will add bracing to reduce deflection in the side rails and tongue area. Contact McElrath Trailers customer service at 1-864-814-2220 and reference recall number VSB 154, and check your trailer's VIN for any open recalls.
