Temsa TS45 Recall 17V470: Bent Air Bellow Cover Can Damage Tires, Risking Flat and Crash

NHTSA campaign 17V470, reported July 24, 2017, 184 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

A protective cover for the air bellows on the tag axle of certain motorcoaches can become bent during use or while being serviced. When bent, the cover may contact and damage the tires on that axle.

If a tire goes flat, vehicle handling can be affected, which increases the risk of a crash. Owners should be aware of this risk and have the recall repair completed.

The remedy is free: an authorized dealer will replace the air bellow cover with a newly designed cover at no cost. Temsa will notify owners directly. You can also contact CH Bus Sales, the US agent for Temsa, at 1-407-271-8935, and check your vehicle's VIN for any open recalls.
