NHTSA campaign 17V456, reported July 18, 2017, 6 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2015 Winnebago Transit buses may be certified for more seats than the vehicle can safely carry. If the bus is fully loaded, it may exceed its gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) or gross axle weight rating (GAWR) shown on the certification label. Overloading can cause the bus to lose control, which raises the risk of a crash.

Winnebago will notify owners, and authorized dealers will reduce the bus's seating capacity at no cost to you. The recall began on September 13, 2017. If you own one of these vehicles, contact Winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-3535 to confirm the recall applies to your bus and to arrange the repair.

You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls to make sure this repair has been completed.
