Lakota Colt Recall 17V410: Furnace Flue May Not Vent Carbon Monoxide Outdoors

NHTSA campaign 17V410, reported June 28, 2017, 152 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The furnace flue on certain trailers may not have been installed properly, so the furnace combustion system may fail to vent exhaust to the outside of the living quarters. This can allow carbon monoxide to build up inside the trailer.

Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless gas that can cause serious injury or death. Owners should watch for warning signs, and should not ignore a carbon monoxide alarm if one sounds.

The repair is free. Owners can contact Lakota customer service at 1-574-848-1636 or [email protected], and an authorized dealer will inspect the furnace and confirm the flue is installed properly. Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
