BYD K7 M Recall 17V386: Wiper Arms May Crack and Detach, Reducing Visibility

NHTSA campaign 17V386, reported June 19, 2017, 13 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain wiper arms can crack where they attach to the wiper motor. Over time, the arms may bend or come loose from the vehicle, causing the wipers to stop working properly.

A loss of wiper function can reduce the driver's visibility in rain, snow, or other poor weather, which increases the risk of a crash. Owners should take this seriously and act promptly.

Dealers will inspect the vehicle and replace the windshield wiper mounts as needed at no cost to you. Owners may also contact BYD customer service at 1-661-940-3250. Check your VIN for any open recalls, and have the vehicle inspected as soon as possible.
