Thor Motor Coach Outlaw Recall 17V381: Wrong awning light fuse can cause a fire risk

NHTSA campaign 17V381, reported June 15, 2017, 38 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain motorhomes were built with a 15 amp fuse protecting the awning light circuit when the correct part is a 2 amp fuse. If a short circuit occurs in the awning light circuit, the oversized fuse may fail to protect the wiring, increasing the risk of a fire.

The repair is free. Dealers will replace the 15 amp fuse with the correct 2 amp fuse at no cost to the owner. Owners who want more information can contact Thor Motor Coach customer service at 1-877-500-1020 and reference recall number RC000143.

You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls to confirm whether your motorhome is affected and has not yet been repaired.
