What this recall means for you
The Federal Certification Label on certain travel trailers overstates the capacity of each axle by 700 pounds, so the label does not meet federal certification requirements. Because the label shows more axle capacity than the trailer actually has, owners could load the trailer beyond what its axles can safely carry.
An overloaded trailer, or one with an axle that fails under excess weight, raises the risk of a crash. Owners should not rely on the current label when deciding how much weight to load.
Gulf Stream Coach will notify owners and mail a corrected Federal Certification Label at no cost. To get help, contact Gulf Stream customer service at 1-800-289-8787, and check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
