What this recall means for you
Some horse trailers were built with an incorrect Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) on the certification label. The label does not show the correct weight limit for the axles, so an owner relying on it could load the trailer beyond what it is designed to carry.
An overloaded trailer raises the risk of a crash. The manufacturer says the trailers in this recall do not meet the federal certification requirements in 49 CFR Part 567 because of the labeling error.
The remedy is free. Bison will notify owners and provide a corrected label at no cost. Owners can contact Bison customer service at 1-574-658-4161, referencing recall number 9011, and can check their VIN for any open recalls.
