NHTSA campaign 17V318, reported May 12, 2017, 94 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2017 Can-Am Spyder RT motorcycles have a manufacturing error in the headlight assembly. When the headlight is set to low beam, the light may shine too high, so it does not meet federal lighting requirements.

The main danger is glare. If the beam is aimed too high, oncoming drivers may be blinded, which increases the risk of a crash.

BRP will notify owners, and authorized dealers will replace the defective headlights free of charge. You can contact BRP customer service at 1-888-272-9222, and you should check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
