Prevost X3-45 Recall 17V300: Missing front reflectors may reduce side visibility, raising crash risk

NHTSA campaign 17V300, reported May 2, 2017, 71 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2016-2017 Prevost X3-45 motorcoaches were built without the front amber reflex reflectors required by federal lighting standards. Because these reflectors help other drivers see the side of the vehicle, their absence may reduce side visibility in some conditions and increase the risk of a crash.

The repair is free. Prevost will notify owners, and authorized dealers will install the missing front amber reflex reflectors at no charge. Owners may contact Prevost customer service at 1-866-870-2046 and reference recall number SR17-15.

If you own one of these vehicles, contact Prevost or an authorized dealer to schedule the repair, and check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
