Thor Motor Coach Quantum Recall 17V264: Wiring Error Can Keep Step Circuit From Tripping, Raising Fire Risk

NHTSA campaign 17V264, reported April 20, 2017, 36 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The power supply wire for the motorhome's steps was attached to a 50 amp circuit breaker instead of the 20 amp breaker it should be connected to. If the step circuit becomes overloaded, the breaker may not trip as intended, which increases the risk of a fire.

The repair is free. Thor Motor Coach will notify owners, and authorized dealers will move the step power wire to the correct 20 amp breaker. Owners can contact Thor Motor Coach customer service at 1-877-500-1020, referencing recall number RC000135.
