NHTSA campaign 17V226, reported March 31, 2017, 572,000 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Dealers will inspect the engine and replace the engine short block if needed. The repair is free of charge. Hyundai will also notify owners directly. If you own an affected vehicle, check your VIN for open recalls and contact Hyundai customer service at 1-800-633-5151, referencing Hyundai's recall number 162, to confirm your eligibility and schedule service.
