IMT Container Delivery Truck Recall 17V208: Corroded CNG fuel hose can leak and cause fire

NHTSA campaign 17V208, reported March 23, 2017, 1 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

This recall covers a 2013 refuse-container delivery truck with a compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel system. The flexible stainless steel, sleeved, high-pressure fuel hoses can corrode from exposure to conditions such as water mixed with road salt.

Corrosion of the fuel hose can cause a CNG leak. If a leak meets an ignition source, the risk of a fire increases. Owners should take this recall seriously and have the hose checked and replaced as soon as possible.

The defective hose assembly will be replaced free of charge. The manufacturer, Iowa Mold Tooling Co., Inc. (IMT), will notify owners, who should then contact Agility Fuel Systems to schedule the replacement. You can reach IMT customer service at 1-800-247-5958 or Agility at 1-888-686-7278, and you can check your VIN for open recalls.
