Fleetwood Bounder Recall 17V197: Wrong tire size on door label may cause crash risk

NHTSA campaign 17V197, reported March 21, 2017, 42 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2017 Fleetwood Bounder and Holiday Rambler Vacationer motorhomes have a Federal Placard that lists the wrong tire size. The label shows 235/80R 22.5 G, but the correct tire size is 255/80R 22.5 G. The vehicles therefore do not meet the labeling requirements of 49 CFR Part 567.

If an owner replaced the tires based on the incorrect placard information, the smaller tire could increase the risk of a crash.

REV Recreation Group will notify owners, and dealers will install a corrected label free of charge. Owners can contact REV customer service at 1-800-509-3417 and reference recall number 170317REV. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
