Ford F-650 Roush Propane Recall 17V170: Propane Fuel Valve Can Short Out and Stall Engine

NHTSA campaign 17V170, reported March 13, 2017, 434 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

A fuel control valve solenoid in certain Roush-modified propane-fueled vehicles may short circuit. When that happens, the flow of propane to the engine shuts off and the engine can stall while the vehicle is being driven.

An engine stall while driving increases the risk of a crash. Owners of affected vehicles should take this seriously and have the vehicle checked.

Roush has notified owners, and authorized dealers will replace the fuel control valve solenoid free of charge. Owners can contact Roush customer service at 1-800-597-6874, and can check their VIN for open recalls.
