Horton Ambulance 453 Recall 17V122: Rear Brakes May Lose Power Due to Loose Bolts

NHTSA campaign 17V122, reported February 27, 2017, 11 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2017 Horton ambulances built on Ford F-350, F-450, or F-550 chassis with LiquidSpring C.L.A.S.S. suspension systems may have rear brake caliper banjo bolts that were overtightened because of an incorrect torque specification. Overtightened banjo bolts can cause partial or complete loss of rear brake power, which raises the risk of a crash.

Horton will notify affected owners, and LiquidSpring dealers will replace the rear brake banjo bolts at no charge. Owners can contact LiquidSpring customer service at 1-765-474-7816, extension 1, or [email protected], or Horton customer service at 1-614-534-8181.
