- Problem
- C&M Trailers Inc. (C&M) is recalling certain model year 2016 Boat Trailers, Jet Ski Trailers and 5x10 Utility Trailers manufactured June 1, 2016, to December 1, 2016. The affected trailers may be missing front reflex reflectors. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
- Risk
- Missing reflex reflectors may make the trailer more difficult to be seen by other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy
- C&M will notify owners and will send them the missing reflex reflectors to install, free of charge. The recall began on February 21, 2017. Owners may contact C&M customer service at 1-972-875-4528.

What this recall means for you
Certain 2016 C&M boat trailers, jet ski trailers and utility trailers built between June 1 and December 1, 2016 may be missing their front reflex reflectors. Without them, the trailer is harder for other drivers to see, especially at night or in poor visibility, which increases the risk of a crash. The trailers also do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 for lamps and reflective devices.
C&M Trailers Inc. will notify owners and send the missing front reflex reflectors at no cost. Owners can contact C&M customer service at 1-972-875-4528 to arrange the parts. Check your trailer's VIN for any open recalls as well.
