C&M Utility Trailer Recall 16V909: Missing tire size label may lead to wrong tire fitment

NHTSA campaign 16V909, reported December 16, 2016, 2,605 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2015-2016 C&M 76x16 utility trailers, built between April 1, 2015 and December 4, 2016, may have a tire placard that is missing the tire and rim size information. The recall covers trailers that do not meet federal requirements for tire labeling under FMVSS 110 (Tire Selection and Rims). The manufacturer, C&M Trailers Inc., will notify owners and provide a corrected tire placard at no cost.

If you own an affected trailer, contact C&M customer service at 1-972-875-4258 to arrange the free corrected placard. Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls, and make sure any replacement tires match the size information on the trailer's placard.
