Gulf Stream B Touring Cruiser Recall 16V894: Incorrect weight labels could lead to overloading and crash risk

NHTSA campaign 16V894, reported December 13, 2016, 9 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The Certification label on certain motorhomes may list incorrect front and rear axle weight ratings (GAWR) and overall vehicle weight rating (GVWR). Because the label is wrong, the vehicle could be loaded beyond what its axles and structure can safely carry, which can lead to axle failure and an increased risk of a crash.

The manufacturer will notify owners and provide a corrected Certification label at no cost. Owners who want to confirm whether their vehicle is affected or to ask about the remedy can contact Gulf Stream Coach customer service at 1-800-289-8787.

In the meantime, check your VIN for open recalls at NHTSA's recall lookup site, and have an authorized dealer address any open recall on your vehicle. The repair is free.
