What this recall means for you
Certain 2016 buses built between April 5 and October 5, 2016 may have a brake-to-shift interlock that does not work. This means the driver could shift the automatic transmission into a drive gear without first pressing the brake pedal.
If this happens, the vehicle can move unintentionally or roll away, which raises the risk of injury or a crash.
The repair is free. Allison Transmission distributors and dealers will update the vehicle's software at no charge. Owners can contact Allison customer service at 1-800-252-5283 or Forest River customer service at 1-574-343-5167, and should check their VIN for open recalls.
