Entegra Cornerstone Recall 16V873: Collision Warning Radar May Be Mounted Upside Down

NHTSA campaign 16V873, reported December 5, 2016, 125 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The forward collision sensing system, a Wabco OnGuard collision mitigation unit, may have been installed with its radar upside down. This can reduce how well the system works to help avoid or lessen a crash.

With reduced collision mitigation, the system may not detect hazards or respond as intended, which may increase the risk of a crash. Owners should not assume the system will provide its full protection until the recall repair is completed.

The repair is free at an authorized Spartan Motors dealer, where the radar orientation will be corrected and the system recalibrated. Owners will also be notified by mail. You can check your VIN for open recalls, or call Spartan customer service at 1-855-589-9836 or Entegra customer service at 1-800-517-9137, referencing Entegra recall number 9903335.
