Livin Lite Quicksilver 6.0 Recall 16V865: Rubber LP Gas Line Can Melt, Causing Fire Risk

NHTSA campaign 16V865, reported December 1, 2016, 86 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2017 Livin' Lite Camplight and Quicksilver 6.0 RV trailers, toyhaulers, and truck campers, built between May 19 and November 18, 2016, have a rubber liquid propane (LP) gas line connecting the range hood and the pilot light. It should be a 12-inch hard pipe instead.

A rubber LP gas line connected to the pilot light can get hot and melt, which increases the risk of a fire. Owners should stop relying on the affected range hood and pilot light connection until the repair is made, and should contact an authorized dealer as soon as possible.

Livin' Lite will notify owners, and dealers will install a 12-inch copper extension between the range hood and pilot light at no cost. The recall began January 9, 2017. Owners can contact Livin' Lite customer service at 1-866-272-5578, and should check their VIN for open recalls.
