Entegra Cornerstone Recall 16V827: Throttle Wiring May Cause Unintended Speed Changes

NHTSA campaign 16V827, reported November 15, 2016, 177 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2017 Entegra motorhomes built on Spartan Motors chassis, manufactured between April 15, 2016 and October 25, 2016, may have throttle circuit wires that were not twisted to cancel out electromagnetic interference. Interference can cause the throttle signal to read higher or lower than intended, so the vehicle may accelerate or decelerate unexpectedly.

Unintended acceleration or deceleration can increase the risk of a crash. If your vehicle is affected, the repair is free: Spartan service centers will install an overlay harness with twisted wires. Contact Spartan customer service at 1-800-543-4277 or Entegra customer service at 1-800-945-4787 to arrange the repair, and check your VIN for open recalls.
