- Problem
- Hyundai Translead is recalling certain model year 2012-2013 HT Hycube, HT Composite-XT, HT Original, and HT Composite 28' trailers manufactured September 20, 2012, to May 7, 2013. The affected vehicles have I-beams that may crack. If the cracks extend, the bogie may detach. These trailers have been identified and have been listed in the file attached.

- If the bogie detaches, there would be an increased risk of a crash.
- Remedy
- Hyundai Translead will notify owners, and dealers will install a repair kit, free of charge. The recall began on February 21, 2017. Owners may contact Hyundai Translead customer service at 1-819-574-1500. Hyundai Translead's number for this recall is 801060.

What this recall means for you
Certain 2012-2013 Hyundai Translead HT trailers (Hycube, Composite-XT, Original, and Composite 28-foot models, built September 20, 2012 to May 7, 2013) have I-beams that may crack. If a crack grows, the bogie, which is the axle and wheel assembly under the trailer, may detach from the trailer.
If the bogie detaches, the risk of a crash increases. Owners of affected trailers should not ignore this recall.
Hyundai Translead will notify registered owners, and authorized dealers will install a repair kit at no cost. The recall began February 21, 2017.
