Entegra Cornerstone Recall 16V761: Mattress May Burn Quickly, Leaving Less Time to Escape

NHTSA campaign 16V761, reported October 20, 2016, 634 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain motorhomes built between April 7, 2015 and August 18, 2016 are equipped with a mattress that can burn quickly if it catches fire. The mattress does not meet federal flammability standards for interior materials (FMVSS 302).

If the mattress burns quickly, occupants may not have enough time to get out of the vehicle during a fire, which increases the risk of injury. Owners should contact Entegra customer service at 1-800-517-9137 (Entegra recall number 9903329) and check their vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.

The remedy is free. Authorized dealers will replace the Tempurpedic Sealy mattress with a Sleep Number mattress at no charge.
