What this recall means for you
The lift gate on certain Garagecoach motorhomes may have roller chains that can fail. If the chain on either the street side or the curb side breaks, that side of the platform falls straight to the ground without warning, leaving an uneven surface.
This sudden drop increases the risk of injury to anyone using the platform. Owners should stop using the lift gate if they notice any sign of chain trouble, and contact the manufacturer for help right away.
The repair is free. Thieman dealers will replace the lift gate chains at no cost. Owners can call Thieman customer service at 1-800-524-5210, extension 104, or ShowHauler customer service at 1-574-825-6764, referencing recall 16E076. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
