What this recall means for you
Certain Jayco Seismic travel trailers may have an underrated resettable fuse protecting the awning circuit that powers the LED lights. The fuse may not properly protect the circuit, so an electrical short can occur without being interrupted.
An electrical short in this circuit can cause overheating and increases the risk of a fire. Owners of affected trailers should take this recall seriously and have the fuse checked.
The repair is free. Authorized Jayco dealers will replace the fuse with the correct 1.85 amp hold/3.70 amp trip fuse at no charge. Jayco will also notify owners, and you can contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267 (Jayco recall number 9901321). Check your VIN for open recalls to confirm whether your trailer is affected.
