What this recall means for you
The tire and rim combination on some trailers may not match the Federal Placard, which lists the tire information. Because of this, an owner could inflate the tires to a pressure higher than they should be, based on what the placard says.
Over-inflated tires can fail suddenly, which could cause the driver to lose control of the trailer and raises the risk of a crash. The recall covers certain trailers built between October 2015 and March 2016.
Owners will be sent a corrected Federal Placard at no cost. For questions, contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-642-3119, extension 205, and reference recall number 37-09082016-0242. You can also check your VIN for any open recalls.
