Seagrave Marauder II Recall 16V620: Transmission May Fail to Switch Power to Water Pump

NHTSA campaign 16V620, reported August 25, 2016, 28 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

A component inside the shift unit of the automatic transmission may be damaged, so the operator may be unable to change the power output. The transmission either drives the wheels or powers add-on equipment such as a fire-fighting water pump.

If the power output cannot be switched, the truck may not be able to pump water once it reaches a fire scene. This could delay firefighting efforts and increase the risk of injury.

Owners will be notified by the manufacturer. Authorized dealers will remove the shift unit assembly and replace the clevis pin and retaining rings at no cost. Owners can contact Seagrave customer service at 1-715-823-1910 or [email protected]. Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
