What this recall means for you
Some 2016 Chrysler 200 vehicles built in a narrow window in late May 2016 may have chassis fastener joints that were not tightened to the proper torque specification. Over time, these fasteners can loosen, fail, or fall out.
If the fasteners fail, steering and handling capability can be reduced, which increases the risk of a crash. Owners should take the notice seriously and not wait for symptoms to appear.
Dealers will inspect the joints and tighten or replace the fasteners as needed, at no charge to you. You can contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403 (recall number S59) with questions, and check your VIN for any open recalls.
