Eldorado E-Z Rider II Recall 16V584: Front Tires May Rub Tie-Rods and Suddenly Lose Air

NHTSA campaign 16V584, reported August 5, 2016, 16 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2016 E-Z Rider II transit buses built between March 1 and July 31, 2016 have front steel rims that do not leave enough clearance. The inside sidewall of a front tire can contact the outer end of a front tie-rod. Over time, this contact can damage the tire and cause it to suddenly lose air, which raises the risk of a crash.

If you own an affected bus, contact Eldorado National customer service at 1-909-591-9557. Eldorado National has notified owners, and an authorized dealer will replace the front steel wheels with ones that provide adequate clearance. The repair is free of charge. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls to confirm whether this or any other recall applies to your bus.
