Porsche 918 Spyder Recall 16V520: Seat belts may not stay anchored in a crash

NHTSA campaign 16V520, reported July 8, 2016, 306 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Incorrect screws may have been used when the front seat belt mount or seat belt reel was reinstalled or re-secured during service. The bolts holding these parts may not keep the seat belts properly anchored to the car.

In a crash, improperly anchored seat belts increase the risk of injury to people in the front seats.

Porsche will notify owners, and authorized dealers will inspect the front seat belt mount and reel and, as needed, replace the attaching bolts free of charge. Owners can contact Porsche customer service at 1-800-767-7243 (recall AG04), and you can check your VIN for any open recalls.
