What this recall means for you
Certain 2015 and 2017 Strick 53-foot tandem axle van trailers have Bendix SR5 spring brake valves that may have been improperly machined. This can delay the spring brakes from applying when the trailer is parked.
If the spring brakes are slow to engage, the trailer may roll away after it has been uncoupled from the tractor, raising the risk of a crash or injury.
Strick Trailers, LLC will contact affected owners and provide a free remedy kit with instructions to repair the SR5 trailer relay valves. For questions, call Strick Trailers Customer Service at 1-260-692-1300.
