Forest River Flagstaff Recall 16V450: Propane Leak Risk: Cracked Regulator Sight Glass Could Cause Fire

NHTSA campaign 16V450, reported June 21, 2016, 175 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2016-2017 Forest River Flagstaff and Work N' Play trailers may have an LP (liquid propane) regulator that lets propane gas leak into its sight glass. Over time, this can cause the glass to degrade and possibly crack.

If the sight glass cracks, propane gas can escape. If that gas meets an ignition source, a fire could occur. Owners should contact Forest River customer service at 1-888-291-6665 and reference recall number 51-05312016-0205. Forest River will notify owners, but a remedy plan has not yet been determined. Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls, and watch for notice from Forest River.
