Eldorado Amerivan 10 Recall 16V441: Fuel line may rub and leak, creating a fire risk

NHTSA campaign 16V441, reported June 16, 2016, 285 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

A fuel line separator on these motorhomes was installed improperly, so the fuel line can rub against the engine cradle. Over time this can wear through the line and cause a fuel leak.

A fuel leak near an ignition source can cause a fire. Owners should treat any fuel smell or visible fuel leak as urgent and avoid driving the vehicle until it has been checked.

The repair is free. Dealers will inspect the fuel line and rework its routing at no cost to you. Eldorado will notify owners directly, but you can also contact Eldorado customer service at 1-913-392-2171 and check your VIN for open recalls.
