Certain 2014-2016 Altec Digger Derrick trucks, built between October 2014 and April 2016 with the digger boom mounted in the corner, may have rotation bearing fasteners that were not properly torqued. Loose or improperly tightened fasteners can lead to structural failure, causing the digger derrick to move unexpectedly.
Unexpected movement of the equipment raises the risk of injury to operators and nearby workers. Owners should not ignore this recall.
Altec has notified owners and instructs them to perform the annual torque inspection on the rotation bearing fasteners at no cost. Contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832 (Altec recall number CSN 633), and check your vehicle identification number for any open recalls.
