Jayco Travel Trailer JAY Flight SLX Recall 16V304: Propane tank may detach from trailer, raising crash risk

NHTSA campaign 16V304, reported May 16, 2016, 241 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some trailers from this production run may be missing lock washers on the two bolts that secure the propane tank to the A-frame. Without them, the bolts can loosen and let the propane tank work free from the trailer.

If the propane tank detaches, the risk of a crash increases. Owners of affected trailers should take this recall seriously and arrange the repair promptly.

The repair is free at an authorized dealer, who will install lock washers on the two bolts that secure the propane tank to the A-frame. You can contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267 for more information, and check your VIN for any open recalls.
