Dodge Grand Caravan Recall 16V300: Third-Row Seatback May Loosen and Separate from Seat Frame

NHTSA campaign 16V300, reported May 16, 2016, 99 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town and Country minivans built between March 16 and March 17, 2016 have third-row seatback nuts that were incorrectly torqued during assembly. Over time, these nuts may become loose.

If the third-row seatback becomes loose, it may separate from the seat frame, which increases the risk of injury to occupants sitting in that row.

The repair is free. Dealers will re-torque the third-row seatback nuts at no charge, and Chrysler will notify affected owners. To check whether your vehicle is included, look up your VIN for open recalls on the NHTSA website, or contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403 (Chrysler recall number S37).
