- Problem
- Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2008-2016 Glaval Bus Apollo, Concorde II, Entourage, Legacy, Primetime, Sport, Titan, Titan II, and Titan II Low Floor transit buses manufactured from August 1, 2008, through March 6, 2016. The labels on the rear emergency exit window are not located within 16 centimeters of the release mechanisms as required. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 217, "Bus Emergency Exits and Window Retention and Release."
- Risk
- If the label is not located the correct distance from the mechanism, it may hinder an occupant's ability to open the emergency window and escape from the vehicle quickly in the event of an emergency.
- Remedy
- Forest River will notify owners, and provide a new label along with instructions for the correct placement of the label on the window. The label and instructions will be provided free of charge. The recall began on June 9, 2016. Owners may contact Glaval Bus customer service at 1-574-642-3112. Forest River's number for this campaign is 35-04112016-0168.

What this recall means for you
On certain transit buses, the labels marking the rear emergency window release mechanism are not located within 16 centimeters of the release, as the federal bus emergency exit standard requires. This means the labels may not clearly guide occupants to the release, which could make it harder to open the emergency window and get out of the bus quickly in an emergency.
The affected buses are 2008 through 2016 Glaval Bus models built between August 1, 2008, and March 6, 2016. Owners will be notified by the manufacturer, Forest River, Inc. Forest River will provide a new label and written instructions for correctly placing it on the window, at no cost to you.
