What this recall means for you
A recall covers certain 2016 towable trailers built between September 10, 2015, and March 8, 2016. The refrigerator compartment may not be completely sealed, which could allow carbon monoxide to enter the main living area.
Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless gas. If it reaches the cabin, it can cause carbon monoxide poisoning and, in serious cases, death. Owners of affected trailers should take this risk seriously and consider it when deciding how and where to use the trailer.
The remedy for this recall is still being developed. Owners can contact Winnebago customer service at 1-574-825-5250 for more information. Check your vehicle identification number for open recalls on NHTSA's website, and watch for further instructions on the repair, which is free at an authorized dealer.
