What this recall means for you
A coolant line on these buses and coaches may be missing a positioning clip, so it can rub against a braided fuel hose at one of the fuel injectors. Over time this contact can wear through the fuel hose, causing a fuel leak.
Fuel spraying onto hot exhaust components can ignite, increasing the risk of an engine compartment fire. Because the danger involves fuel near a hot engine, owners should take this recall seriously.
The repair is free at an authorized dealer. The dealer will inspect the fuel line for abrasion, replace it if needed, and properly secure the fuel and coolant lines. Owners can contact Prevost customer service at 1-418-883-3391 (Prevost recall number SR16-18), and should check their VIN for open recalls.
