What this recall means for you
A body control module in certain school buses may fail, causing the exterior lights or windshield wipers to stop working either partly or completely.
When exterior lighting or the windshield wipers lose function, the driver's visibility is reduced, which raises the risk of a crash. Owners should be aware of this hazard, especially when driving in low light or bad weather.
The repair is free. Dealers will modify the wiring to the body control module at no cost to the owner. Owners can contact Daimler Trucks North America customer service at 1-800-547-0712 for more information, and can check their VIN for open recalls.
