What this recall means for you
On certain trucks built between April and December 2015 with rear air suspension, the rear brake hoses can rub against the rear axle housing while driving. Over time this contact can chafe the line and cause an air leak.
An air leak reduces the rear braking ability of the truck, which increases the risk of a crash. If you own an affected truck, do not wait to have it checked.
Ford will notify owners, and an authorized dealer will install revised rear brake air chambers and replace any damaged rear air brake lines at no cost to you. Contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 and reference recall 15S38, and check your VIN for open recalls.
