Starcraft Bus Quest Recall 15V767: Wheelchair Lift Platform Can Fall Out When Doors Open

NHTSA campaign 15V767, reported November 18, 2015, 43 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain wheelchair lifts built by Ricon Corporation have folding link arms with pivot holes that may be too large. This can let the bearings shift out of position, allowing the stowed lift platform to move excessively and possibly fail at its mounting.

If the platform fails, it could fall out of the vehicle when the doors are opened, raising the risk of injury to the lift operator. Ricon dealers will inspect the link arms for damage or displaced bearings and check the platform for cracks. Any damaged parts will be replaced free of charge. Owners can contact Forest River customer service at 1-800-348-7440 or Ricon Customer Service at 1-800-322-2884, referencing Forest River recall number 51-11102015-0108. Check your vehicle's VIN for open recalls.
