Winnebago Vista Recall 15V749: Wheelchair lift platform may fall out when doors open

NHTSA campaign 15V749, reported November 12, 2015, 3 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The wheelchair lifts on these motorhomes have folding link arms with pivot holes that may be too large. This can let the bearings shift out of position, causing the stowed lift platform to move excessively and possibly fail where it is mounted.

If the platform fails, it could fall out of the vehicle when the doors are opened, raising the risk of injury to the person operating the lift. Owners of affected vehicles should contact Ricon Customer Service at 1-800-322-2884. Vehicles that received the 2014 recall remedy are still covered by this recall.

An authorized dealer will inspect the link arms for damage or displaced bearings and check the platform for cracks. Any damaged parts will be replaced free of charge. Check your VIN for open recalls to confirm your vehicle's status.
