Starcraft RV TT Autumn Ridge Recall 15V638: Frame defect can cause tire rubbing and possible tire failure

NHTSA campaign 15V638, reported October 9, 2015, 35 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain travel trailers built between March 27, 2015 and September 22, 2015 may have an incorrectly built frame. This can leave too little clearance between the wheel and the wheel well, so the tire may rub the trailer body. The rubbing can cause premature tire wear or possible tire failure, which increases the risk of a crash.

If you own an affected trailer, contact Starcraft customer service at 1-800-945-4787 and reference recall number 9902258. The remedy is still being developed, so the company has not yet specified the repair. Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls and watch for signs of tire rubbing or uneven tire wear in the meantime.
